Did you know family participation in education is twice as predictive of studentsÂ’ academic success as family socioeconomic status?

According to researchers, family time matters a lot.

Spend at least 10 minutes a day with your child on a learning activity.
Take your child to the public library at least once a month.
Ask your child what was the most interesting thing they learned today, and follow up with questions so they can teach you.
Watch an educational program with your child and discuss it.
Use materials at home to stimulate your childÂ’s interest in reading, math or science.
Play board games.
Have a spelling or math bee.
Ask them about the Word of the Day or Word of the Week.
Attend or ask a friend or relative to attend events when your child performs.
