The SMART Program is a school-based mentoring program for students who could benefit from the support of a mentor.  This program is designed to assist in academics, life skills, and career preparation for the 21st century and beyond.

The mentor role is that of a friend, coach, and guide. Mentors meet with their mentees four hours a month for a year and take an interest in the positive growth and development of the child.  The SMART Program will offer support and guidance for both the mentors and children (mentees).  We will do our best to ensure the success of the mentor-mentee relationship.  In order to properly select and appoint mentors, it is essential that we proceed through a qualification process.

Please read and fill out the Mentor Application, and Mentee Application.  Resubmit completed forms using the information above.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our Screening Specialist, Crystal Vaught, at smart_datamgr@verizon.net .

We look forward to working with you.

 Sincerely,
